The Typical Sunday Duty

Humm...What can I say about the typical weekend duties I've been getting? I mean apart from not claiming off days for saturday duties and only 1/2 day off from Sundays. Damn, my OC is so super "niao". How do you expect your subordinates to have a high level of motivation if you dont even grant them the fair amount of off day claiming? Sometimes it really makes me wonder why people like him can be so "garang". Looking at his pot belly, I dont think this guy even passes his IPPT. Humm, what does passing IPPT got to do with garangness anyway? NVM, anyway, today was no execption. I alighted at bedok station to buy my usual changi duty breakfast which was bee hoon mixed with noodles, with luncheon meat and egg. At the same time, getting my lunch as well, which will always be the nasi lemak. I have got to survive the day without cookhouse food. Man!! I cant remember the last time I actually touched cookhouse food, Partly because I would have "brunch" from the canteen, not that "brunch"! before I leave in the afternoon for SAFSA trainings. Yeah, anyway, back to the story, I missed the shutter bus by 3 minutes. By the time I got to the guardhouse, not forgetting I've got to change my 11B to a visitor's pass, I was already 20 min late. Nobody gives a damn anyway, everyone will be late for almost every weekend duty, partly because the senior medic wouldn't be there to catch us...lol. After taking over the duty from the previous duty medic, and while waiting for my other duty personnel to arrive, I opened my packet of bee hoon/noodles, and started slurping away, at the same time drinking "hot teh", super shiok. 8.45am and the horrendous sound of the electronic bell started screaming away, my duty buddy was here. We decided to leave the daily checklist to the last minute of the day. He idled for a while, waiting for the storemen personnel and duty driver to arrive, all for a game of DOTA. 1 hour later, they arrived, and started to use the 4 coms, with fully installed versions of Warcraft 3. It was only seconds later when you could actually hear swords clashing and arrows wissing pass, as if there was an epic war going on in the medical centre.LOL... My senior medic better not read this blog of mine...haha... As for me, I turned on the computer with the only internet access, and started to install my Sony MP3 software, hoping to transter songs that the other medics downloaded or have installed into the com, into my HD3 20G Sony MP3. To my horror as I clicked onto the media player icon, a whole collection of techno songs appeared before my eyes. No! I didnt waste my time, bringing down all my software for installation to find such crap. So dissapointing...HUH!! Anyway, there was the epic scene going on again, and again...I took a 2 hour nap after lunch on the uncomfortable old sofa and doze my way through dreamland, only to be awakened by the sword clashes again...lol... Went online to chat with friends and checked out websites pertaining to my overseas education. If I would want to take up my course of study overseas, and wanting to safe money and time, New Zealand would be the best place cause it's only 3 years for my degree, with the same amount of attachment period, so I won't lack in the skills area. Yeah, really hope Auckland University will reply me soon quick as I have yet to apply for visa and stuff. Huh!! really full now after a heavy meal of Canadian Pizza. Buy 1 get 1 free.. The 5 of us ended up ordering 2, which means we ended up having 4 large pizzas at our doorstep, but only managed to finish 3 large. As we were munching our way to the pizzas, the dudes decided that E.T the stupid alien show wasn't their cup of tea, so they switched the channel to "channel U" which was showing as usual some Taiwanese verity show. It always seems that Taiwanese gals are so cute, or is it because they know how to dress and do makeup... Humm, will I get to meet some when I go overseas for my studies?lol... Anyway, the epic war scene is back again, uptill now... and my eyes are getting heavy....yawns!!!
